Résumé : |
Waterborne wood coatings have become more and more copuler in the recent years, especially due to the increasing environmental and health concerns, as well as the strong legislative restrictions in terms of VOC taken in some regions. Thanks to the important efforts made in terms of research and development, some of the newest products are matching the standard traditional systems with a minimal environmental impact. However, there are still some drawbacks to overcome, such as the versatility and ease of use of these traditional solventborne systems.
The wood coatings industry is an industry in which you can still find a quite significant number of craftsmen and small- and medium-sized carpenters and applicators. Reliability, versatility and easy handling are very important for all the industry but these become crucial when it cornes to smaller companies.
These and other topics have been addressed by our R&D, resulting in two new products with a single aim: enabling the wood coatings formulators and applicators to switch to waterborne. |
