Tension control plays a vital role in composites manufacturing in order to increase or achieve automated processing, continuous processing, reduced scrap, increased product quality and more. Tension control is a relatively new concept in the manufacturing of composites, however it is critical to unlocking all the benefits just mentioned. It is one thing if a skateboard starts to delaminate ; it is another if this happens on a composite boat or the wing of an airplane. Delamination is just one of the common problems proper tension control can solve. |
