RéticulantsIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Before developing a new finished leather, the tanner needs a great deal of information about the characteristics of the finished product if the leather is to match requirements completely and profitably.
Getting it right first time is always a worthwhile challenge as this leads to speedy and timely delivery and the opportunity to put a new product onto the market ahead of the competition. To achieve this, the tanner needs to know how best the finished product will match customer needs, primarily through selecting the most competitively priced raw material.
Having decided this, there still remain many process choices from beamhouse through to finishing. Usually there are many reference points from which existing processes may be adopted and this is the safest and easiest way to begin.Note de contenu : - MEETING THE SPECIFICATION : A white full grain shoe upper leather - Super-soft sheepskin garment leather

Titre : A comparison of spray guns Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : S. Mannouch, Auteur Année de publication : 2002 Article en page(s) : p. 49-53 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Cuirs et peaux -- Finition
Système de pulvérisation (technologie)
Taille des gouttelettes
VaporisateursIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : The spray finishing operation for leather is driven by three main factors:
The quality of finish
This is controlled by the method used for atomisation, as this dictates both the projected droplet size and the velocity at which it strikes the leather surface.
The speed of operation
This is controlled by the fluid flow. In turn this has consequences on the droplet size and transfer efficiency.
The efficiency of spray finishing
The efficiency of the operation influences the cost on a day-to-day basis, together with : the initial investment in the spray guns and their fluid supply system, energy requirement, maintenance and replacement of parts subject to wear, down-time taken for that maintenance and the time for set-up procedure prior to spraying.
Quality, speed and efficiency are closely linked together, and no single factor can be altered without affecting the other two. Concentrate on any one of the items in this "finishing triangle" and the operation will start to suffer problems in the other two key areas.
Two of the main types of spraying equipment are available - High Volume Low Pressure (HVLP) and Airless - and both have different starting points within this triangle.Note de contenu : - Conventional spray systems and the atomisation process

- Airless spray systems
