Generally, qualitative, contrary to quantitative methods imply non-measured or even non-measurable characteristics. A typical feature of the quality definitionis its complex, generalized character, when various characteristics of a product, or a process are taken into account and then summed up in by a subjective term, such as "good", "excellent" etc.
Qualimetry is a system, intended for the quantitative evaluation of product quality. In order to be applicable to a certain types of industrial products such as, motor vehicles, apparel, food, organic coatings etc., a specific system of raiting and ranks, on the basis of qualimetry philosophy, has to be developped. This system comprises specialized characteristics, coefficients and functions which render it applicable to certain types of industrial products. |
