Such microporous hollow fibers are mainly made in a wet spinning process where the fibers obtain their porous structure during a phase inversion process. In this article a new approach for the production of porous hollow fibers using a melt spinning process without phase separation is described. Polypropylene (PP) was mixed with a water soluble and extruded through a hollow fiber spinning nozzle. This process promises high productivity and a simple extraction process because only water is needed. Note de contenu : - MISCIBILITY OF POLYMERS AND FORMING OF DROPS
