Hides subjected to a dressing for gloves.
The research have shown a significant correlation between features, assessed sensory and instrumental. In the case of investigational leathers elasticity were significantly correlated with fullness in touch. It also showed the relationship between the hardness measured instrumentally, and softness and toughness evaluated organoleptically. The measurement results of texture parameters show that can be objectively assess and compare features, which are usually defined by our senses such as hardness, elasticity and flexibility.Note de contenu : - FIGURES : 1. Cuirs et peaux de chèvresIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : The studies assessed the strength of leathers in terms of their use for the production of selected grades of soft leather made from 21 F crossbreeds kid : a local breed of white goats (PB) upgraded by bucks of boer breed (B) - (PB x B), (PB) goats upgraded by Nubian bucks (N) - (PB x N) and a control group of upgraded white breed.
Ten-month old kid leather crossbreeds from crossing white goats up graded by bucks of boer and nubian breeds have the required values of strength and sensory characteristics desirable for the production of gloves and clothing. Leather PB x B crossbreeds had lower tensile strength than that determined as adequate by the standard for leather clothing. Kid leather PB x N exhibited greater resistance to tearing relative to other groups through a thicker reticular layer, which predisposes them for use as shoe uppers.Note de contenu : - Table I : Quantitative traits and parameters of skin surface efficiency

Tannage Résumé : The studies examined the rheological properties of broiler rabbit grain leather gloves and shoes and determined whether they had the requirements defined by the standard. The study material included grain leathers of two groups of hybrid rabbits, 24 pieces each: Groupe I: Belgian Giant Gray x Burgundy (BOS x BU), Groupe II: Belgian Giant Gray x White New Zealand (BOS x BNZ).
Broilers rabbit leathers were characterised by high values of strenght parameters in static tests. Leather of BNZ x BOS hybrids processed for both gloves and footwear, had higher values of the tested features. However, they did not differ significantly from the results obtained for BOS x BU leathers. The rheological and organoleptic properties of the rabbit broiler leathers tested proved that they can be used not only for gloves, but also for shoe uppers.Note de contenu : - MATERIALS AND METHODS : Methodology of tanning rabbit hides for gloves and footwear - technological operations (calculated of 100kg of raw hides)-
