In conventional approach, instrumental colour matching technique is used on dry paint film. Here, a novel technique has been used for prediction of desired colour from liquid paint sample directly instead of dried shade panels. In this technique, different mathematical concepts like matrices, determinants and three dimension Cartesian coordinate geometry have been employed to correlate a relation between shades of liquid paint and corresponding dried paint film and a simple empirical formula has been derived to predict the unknown shade. The liquid standard shade sample and nonstandard batch sample are taken in two identical transparent glass tubes, and with the help of three dimensional Cartesian coordinate geometry, a close relation of shade between liquid paint sample and dry painted panel has been established. This technique has also been used successfully for batch correction with respect to shade variation. Such unique colour matching technique has significant advantages over reduction of batch process time which has a direct impact on productivity and cost of fiNished paint. Extensive research in optical and biological reflectance minimization as well as the emergence of nanotechnology over the years has contributed to the enhancement of ARCs in a major way. In th is study the prime objective is to give a comprehensive idea of the ARCs right from their inception, as they were originally conceptualized by the pioneers and lay down the basic concepts and strategies adopted to minimize reflectance. The different types of ARCs are also described in greater detail and the state-of-the-art fabrication techniques have been fully illustrated. In addition study has been carried out that how ARC can be applied and applications are also described. It is necessary for the protection as well as for the aesthetic appeal of the products. It is also a well-known fact that this process has a substantial envi ronmental impact.
Many technologies have evolved to restrict the impact on environment of spray painting. These technologies focus on restricting the pollution during painting, as well as on the collection & treatment of the post painting waste viz. paint sludge. This article talks about the new technology to effectively collect and treat the paint sludge in order to keep the environnent clean, in the most cost effective manner.
Not many like to talk about paint sludge. It is still considered a menace and, at times, simply disregarded. Unfortunately, this does not solve the problem of removing the sludge effectively and disposing it in the best possible manner that has minimum impact on the environment.
Presently, the rules are getting stringent and it is the responsibility of the one who creates the sludge, to collect it and hand it over to government appointed agencies for an environment friendly disposal. This may sound simple, but the daily "collection" of a relatively difficult-to-handle sticky mass, in the most environment friendly and cost effective manner is surely a challenging task !
