Résumé : |
In India, construction is the second largest economic activity alter agriculture. Construction accounts for nearly 65 per cent of the total investment in infrastructure and is expected to be the biggest beneficiary of the surge in infrastructure investment over the next five years. Investment in construction accounts for nearly 11 per cent of India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). As opportunities in the sector continue to come to the fore, foreign direct investment has been moving upwards.
This article covers basic principles of two-component waterborne polyurethane coatings and its applications for both walls and floors in construction areas. It also presents the results based on intensive lab evaluations with different combinations of polyol dispersions and hydrophilic polyisocyanates for performance adjustment in order to meet different performance and cost requirements. The coatings can be easy-to-clean, anti-graffiti for the use of exterior/interior walls, interior walls for hospitals, schools & kindergartens, electronic plants, food processing workshops, kitchens, metro stations etc. It can also be used as topcoat of floor coatings for commercial and industrial areas with excellent abrasion resistance, scratch resistance & chemical resistance. The real life cases will be analyzed in this article as well. |
