Thermoforming - Conventional radiant heating systems can only generate temperature profiles with a coarse resolution. The possibility of using a hybrid system with localized laser heating to generate a precisely defined temperature profile for parts with a small area is being investigated. This is aimed at improving the local stretching behavior of the semifinished part during thermoforming and thus the wall thickness distribution of the molded part. |
