Ion-exchange and gel filtration chromatograms obtained for chromonium chloride solutions masked with salts of three organic acids (formic, acetic and oxalic) show that the masked solutions contain different size complexs with varying charges and that the distribution of the complexes varies with quantities of the added salts. The complexes were characterized by their visible and infrared absorption spectra and molar ratios of acido groups to chromium. Possible structures for the complexes are discussed and presented. |
