Résumé : |
With the increasing use of tactile touch interface and high gloss finish surfaces in various market sectors, including packaging, automotive, appliances, consumer goods and teletronics, the need for an easy-to-clean (E2C) surface property is growing and posing a challenge to designers and coating formulators. As a consequence, investigation of these new functional surfaces has gained increasing interest in technical and scientific literature. Yet, the most effective solutions currently available are quite costly and, consequently, only used in high value components such as touch screen displays.
To overcome this high cost barrier, Cytec introduced its latest development for energy curable coatings, namely Ebecryl 8110 resin for consumer electronics components such as casings etc. This novel and patent-pending UV resin enables paint formulators to develop coatings that meet the overall coating performance requirement (hardness, adhesion, chemical resistance) as well as permanent easy fingerprint removal/easy-to-clean surface property. |
