Matières premièresIndex. décimale : 668.3 Adhésifs et produits semblables Résumé : ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute), Taiwan’s largest and a leading international high-tech applied research institution, recently introduced ButyFix, reportedly the first biochemical technology for bio-butanol transportation fuel production with a negative carbon footprint. The technology uses nature’s most abundant biomass—cellulose—as its feedstock, rather than corn. The total energy content in the lignin-rich biomass has the surplus to cover not only the energy for production, but also for the entire lifecycle of the fuel (well-to-wheel). As a result, the greenhouse gas (GHG) emission of the bio-butanol is slightly negative, which is thus very positive for the environment. ButyFix is available for licensing to biofuel and chemical processing organizations. MesureIndex. décimale : 668.3 Adhésifs et produits semblables Résumé : As the market continues to push the production of lighter, stronger, and more chemical-resistant epoxies, polyurethanes, and silicones, the importance of using accurate metering and dispensing equipment grows as well. Over the past decade, metering precision has reached levels that were previously thought to be unobtainable. This is due in part to a better understanding of where errors in the metering process occur.
One of the areas found to be most problematic was hoses located downstream from the metering point. Hoses cause errors for many different reasons, but the underlying problem is the need to eliminate distance between the metering point and the dispensing point while remaining light and compact enough to be used in conjunction with a motion platform.Note de contenu : - Metering and dispensing types

SeauxIndex. décimale : 668.3 Adhésifs et produits semblables Résumé : Adhesive and sealant manufacturers continuously strive to invest their available capital budgets on acquiring pail processing equipment that will reliably and efficiently serve their current manufacturing needs, in addition to fulfilling their future requirements. With the future uncertain, manufacturers look to automation comprising modular subsystems that offer infinitely flexible capabilities. As processes range from de-nesting to palletizing, automation providers seek means to provide cost-effective solutions offering flexible and expandable options with minimal footprints. ProductivitéIndex. décimale : 668.3 Adhésifs et produits semblables Résumé : The Gibson Box Co. has produced corrugated pallets, build-ups and other packaging products since 1999, but company President David Gibson would turn back the clock four years if he could. That is when Gibson first considered purchasing its recently acquired Haeco engineered gluing system (EGS). The automated EGS has dramatically boosted the company’s bottom line, cutting gluing operations labor by 80% and reducing glue usage by two-thirds.
"I kick myself for not doing this sooner", says Gibson. "As the economy tightens, we have to keep a close eye on labor costs, and adhesive costs continue to rise as well. The EGS has helped us control both, and customers are commenting on the high quality of our work. This machine is a tremendous asset".En ligne : http://www.adhesivesmag.com/articles/92563-case-study-corrugated-converter-stick [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Web Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=20881
