Players say antiviral fabrics combat the spread and transmission of harmful viruses through textiles, basing their daims on international test standards, but there are no Indian government guidelines for such products. There is no standard product in the name of antimicrobial or antiviral textiles. In this study, an attempt was done on the development of blood repellent and antiviral nonwovens for hospitals. In order to improve the barrier properties, the nonwovens are treated with specialty chemicals. It was found that the treated nonwovens showed outstanding properties in terms of the blood repellent and antiviral parameters without comprising comfort and physical properties of nonwovens. ProductionIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Pipette tips are small and relatively simple components that are now in high demand. One might think producing large quantities of these products is a simple task. It is not. The requested high quality can only be reached by using complex automation. To meet these challenging requirements, MA micro automation has developed a modular solution : Centauri IVD. Note de contenu : - Inspection on-the-fly

Transparence (optique)Index. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Transparent plastics are used in medical technology for disposable articles such as catheter accessories, blood/plasma separators, thorax drainage sets, and medical filter and device housings. Since they are being exposed to increasingly aggressive solvents, disinfectants and drugs (for example new cancer drugs), these plastic articles have to be comprehensively tested for their chemical resistance. PolypropylèneIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : They are both a precision product and a mass-produced item used daily in laboratories across the globe: pipette tips feature a challenging wall thickness/length ratio, an inner geometry that is key for analysis results, and a tip opening just a few tenths of a millimeter wide. They have been in extremely high demand during the coronavirus pandemic, which is why the mold construction and hot runner specialist Männer has developed a mold with an innovative cluster concept. Note de contenu : - Stand-alone mold clusters with eight cavities each
- Precise molding geometry as the basis for accurate diagnostics results
- Digital mold memory
- Defined quality standards for a high degree of process reliability
- Qualification via camera eye

Procédés de fabricationIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : In-vitro diagnostics is the examination, in laboratory vessels, of samples taken from the human body. The consumables required for this are manufactured in a production process that is subject to high requirements in terms of precision, quality and quantity, but also the complex cleanroom manufacturing environment. This has implications for the entire plant technology – especially toolmaking. Note de contenu : - Walking the tightrope between technical feasibility and value creation
