Résumé : |
Archirectural paints are always subjected to biofouling due to bacterial, fungal and algal attack. This leads to loss of viscosity, gassing and bad odour in the canned paints, while the dry paint film deterioration results in cosmetic disfigurement and possible loss of adhesion, thus making early repainting necessary. Various biocides can be incorporated in these coatings to prevent this microbial damage ; thereby one can prolong the lie and usefulness of these surface coatings. |
