That PAINTINDIA is most popular among all concerned with the paint industry in the country in one way or the other is well known. But not so well known is that it is very popular among students of surface coating technology throughout the country. There is a substantial circulation among the student community which finds PAINTINDIA most educative and helpful in their studies and their endeavour to obtain a thorough grasp of all the technological aspects of paints. To PAINTINDIA this student readership is most valuable since these students are the future managers of paint units as the industry expands. It is in this background, the background of the student readership, that this article assumes significance since nowhere in the literature such a compilation on the topic is auailable. It is for this reason that no list of references accompanies this article. The author of this article has spent a lifetime in teaching paint technology and the article reflects his vast experience. |
