Titre : On the road improved scratch resistance Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Ulrich Meier-Westhues, Auteur ; Thomas Klimmasch, Auteur ; Jörg Tillack, Auteur Année de publication : 2002 Article en page(s) : p. 28-34 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : PUR clearcoats excelby their high resistance against acid rain (etching) and other chemicals. The appropriate selection of polyol and polyisocyanate allows deliberate control of hardness, glass transition temperature and resistance features. With increasing hardness e.g. the etch resistance rises and the scratch resistance reduces. Overcoming this difficulty of diverging scratch resistance and etch resistance will only be possible through increasing the cross-linking density while at the same time keeping a low Tg. The use of tailor-made polyols could lead to car clear coatings with increased scratch resistance in a relatively short time. Note de contenu : - With increasing hardness the etch resistance rises and the scratch resistance by contrast falls
- Nano scratch method allows differentiation between plastic deformation and fracture
- Concept : To increase the cross-linking density in the film and to keep the Tg largely constantEn ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WcEY-f1dg3RFbkLOusx6C15JAACCzgDu/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=10714

On most size scales tested, the polyurethane possessed superior scratch and mar resistance. The polyurethane also possessed improved scratch recovery after warming for 2 h at 60°C. After 2000 h of accelerated weathering, the scratch recovery characteristics of the polyurethane were largely maintained, while the acrylic/melamine/silane showed a significant drop in scratch recovery performance. Performance of both coatings was related to T g, hardness, and crosslink density. Titre : The environmental etch resistance of high-quality PU clear coats Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Ulrich Schulz, Auteur ; Peter Trubiroha, Auteur ; Theodor Enghert, Auteur ; Thomas Klimmasch, Auteur Année de publication : 1999 Article en page(s) : p. 18-25 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : everal base coat/clear coat systems with high-quality PU clear coats for automotive finishing were tested in order to prove the influence of the clear coat type (one-pack and two-pack), the application (water-borne and solvent-borne) and the formulation (different hardener combinations) on the environmental etch resistance. Exposure was carried out using the ADF test (acid dew and fog test) which is a new accelerated artificial weathering test including the simulation of acid atmospheric precipitation. The known better appearance durability of the two-pack clear coats compared to the one packs in harsh environmental conditions could be confirmed in the new weathering test. The water-borne clears proved to be just as good as the solvent-borne ones. The coating formulation showed a strong influence on the weatherability. In contrast to injection molding with separate spray painting, this prototype is produced using an integrated process. Flooding the injection mold with the coating was simulated in advance. Note de contenu : - Integrated production versus separate spray painting
- Tailor-made carrier materials and PU systems
- Filling simulation for the PU lacquer
- Streak-free metallic effect lacquer and grain design
- Ambient light and integrated foliation
- FIGURES : 1. Simulation of mold filling with PU lacquer : By integrating barriers, the vent hole in the middle of the part is only filled with lacquer and sealed once all areas of the part surface have been flooded - 2. The gloss levels of the effect lacquer system range from high gloss to matt ; surfaces can be smooth, textured or feature a soft feel - 3. Such a fine grain is especially scratch resistant since the high gloss is recessed in the "valleys" and therefore protectedEn ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U-LZithTOBTI3xmmUjqzfRDaICF_1Agz/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=28058
