Résumé : |
"Pitch-catch" (low frequency) bontesters are often used in airplane maintenance to inspect honeycomb sandwich structure in situ. However, use of these instruments is often troublesome due to difficult interpretation and less-than-adequate inspection sensitivity. In this paper, new approaches for the use of low frequency bondtesters are described. Boeing developed these algorithms using theoretical work and instrumentation developed by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). Use of these techniques can result in an order of magnitude increase in sensitivity. The techniques require frequency analysis, available in bondtesters such as the CSIRO "baNDIcoot", but identify settings that can be used on conventional bondtesters that display results only in the time domain. |
