Résumé : |
The importance of Dirt Pick-Up Resistance (DPUR) in exterior latex paint is highlighted with reference to retaining its aesthetics for longer periods, in polluted city environs of India which show higher levels of suspended particles in the atmosphere. Mechanisms of dirt pick-up and dirt release along with important factors to be considered while formulating exterior latex paints which will help in minimizing dirt pick-up are discussed. |
