Titre : Self-curing with epoxy groups : Isocyanate-free cathodic ED coatings Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Chintankumar J. Patel, Auteur ; Hitesh Hirani, Auteur ; Ashok Dighe, Auteur Année de publication : 2006 Article en page(s) : p. 38-43 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Most of the resins used in the cathodic electrodeposition (CED) coatings are made from modified epoxy resin and blocked polyisocyanate in which the crosslinking is achieved by polyurethane and polyurea formation. A resin system has been developed that is isocyanate free and avoids not only the toxicity aspect, but also, to a great extent, the weight loss of the coating upon baking. Titre : Waterborne epoxy resins Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Chintankumar J. Patel, Auteur ; Ashok Dighe, Auteur Année de publication : 2007 Article en page(s) : p. 18-25 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : The author discuss the synthesis and characterisation of epoxy ester - an acrylic graft copolymer dispersion for cathodic electrodeposition coatings.
The epoxy ester - acrylic graft copolymer dispersion was successfuly synthesized in the laboratory. The FTIR study of different intermediates supports the reactions occurring at various stages in the preparation of EEAGD. The dispersion was found to have excellent compatibility with water and good stability that are the prime requirements for the binders for electrodeposition coatings. GPC and DSC analysis also reveals good grafting reaction. The dispersion was successfully cathodically electrodeposited on the test panel. Thus the prepared EEAGD can be used for the cathodic electrodeposition coatings.Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL : Materials - Synthesis of epoxy ester, acrylic graft copolymer based dispersion (EEAGD)- Characterisation of EEAG, EEAGA & EEAGD
