Elaboration, propriétés mécaniques et de gonflement d'hydrogels composites d'alginate réticulés ioniquement contenant des nanoparticules magnétiques fonctionnalisées / A. Varela Feijoo in RHEOLOGIE, Vol. 40 (12/2021)
[article]

The composite film, deposited by dip-coating technique, was prepared with different contents of SAPO34 powder (60–90 wt%) with the purpose of evaluating the protective action offered by the zeolite-filled silane matrix. Corrosion protection performance, during immersion in 3.5% NaCl solution, was evaluated by means of a potentio-dynamic polarization test and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The coating evidenced good barrier properties and high hydrophobicity. The addition of zeolite in the silane matrix induced, as expected, a reduction of cathodic and anodic current. The zeolite improved the barrier properties of the hybrid sol–gel films, enhancing the resistance to localized corrosion attacks. Better results were observed for the sample with 80 wt% of zeolite filler that evidenced still acceptable protective action after 3 days of immersion in the sodium chloride solution. Spectroscopie d'impédance électrochimiqueIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : The MnAl2O4 and CoAl2O4 nanopigments were synthesized through solution combustion method. The nanopigments extracts in the 3.5 wt% NaCl solution were prepared. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and linear polarization (LP) techniques were utilized to investigate the corrosion inhibition properties of the pigments in the solutions containing pigments extracts. The epoxy nanocomposites were prepared and applied on the aluminum specimens. EIS and pull-off measurements were performed to characterize the corrosion protection properties of the epoxy nanocomposites. It was revealed that the MnAl2O4 pigment showed higher corrosion inhibition properties than CoAl2O4 in the solution phase. In addition, MnAl2O4 enhanced the corrosion resistance and decreased the adhesion loss of the epoxy coating on the aluminum substrate significantly. The MnAl2O4 nanopigment improved the corrosion resistance of the epoxy coating through increasing the barrier performance and releasing inhibitive species. Poly(3,4-éthylènedioxythiophène)
Revêtements organiquesIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) was electrosynthesized on nickel electrodes from aqueous micellar solutions of sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (SDBS) containing sodium saccharin or sodium perchlorate as supporting electrolytes. The choice of the aqueous medium for the preparation of PEDOT is mainly dictated by its relevant interest on the economic and ecological fronts. The electrodeposition of the organic coating was achieved using cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry and chronopotentiometry. This latter electrochemical method proved to be the most suited to the preparation of homogeneous and adherent PEDOT films. Elsewhere, the presence of SDBS micelles in the electrolytic medium led to an improvement of the monomer solubility and a notable decrease in its oxidation potential. Furthermore, spectroscopic and microscopic characterization techniques revealed regular and compact nodule-like structure of the coating and proved the increase in its doping rate when increasing the electrosynthesis current density. On the other hand, in order to discuss the potential application of the prepared conducting polymer as protective layer against corrosion, several electrochemical tests were performed, using open circuit potential (OCP) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) methods. OCP curves have shown a slight increase in the potential toward more positive values, while the EIS measurements have given a 90° capacitive line indicating the pure capacitive behavior of the polymeric system and have proven the presence of a fast charge transfer at the metal/polymer and polymer/solution interfaces.

Traction (mécanique)Index. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : Core-shell structurel nanofibers of sodium alginate/polyvinylalcohol (SA/PVA) were prepared via coaxial electrospinning, with SA acting as a core and PVA as a shell. Due to its very good hemostasis, hydrophilic, non-toxic and biodegradable properties, SA nanofibers show great potential in the biomedical field. However, as a polyelectrolyte with high conductivity, the repulsive force among the molecules hinders the electrospinning of SA. PVA, however, can be easily electrospun into nanofibers, and PVA nanofibers exhibit high tensile strength, tensile modulus and abrasion re-sistance. In this study, SA-PVA core-shell nanofibers were successfully elec-trospun, and the morphology and composition of the resultant fibers were characterized by SEM, TEM and FT-IR spectroscopy respectively.
