Titre : Styryl dyes - synthesis and applications during the last 15 years Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Todor Deligeorgiev, Auteur ; Aleksey Vasilev, Auteur ; Stefka Kaloyanova, Auteur ; Juan J. Vaquero, Auteur Année de publication : 2010 Article en page(s) : p. 55-80 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : One of the most widely used and important groups of functional dyes are the styryl dyes and a review of this functional dye class has not been published for more than 15 years. In this review article, we describe the new trends in the synthesis of a range of novel intermediates and styryl dyes and include the most interesting examples of their high-tech applications. However, this review is not intended to be comprehensive because of the large number of styryl dye studies that have been carried out in this time. Styryl cyanine dyes are widely used in optical recording media in laser discs, as flexible dyes, laser dyes, as optical sensitisers and in various other fields, for example dye-sensitised solar cells and dyes with non-linear optical properties. Additionally, the most important applications for these dyes are in bio-labelling and in medicinal analysis. Titre : Novel anti-bacterial acid dyes derived from naphthalimide : synthesis, characterisation and evaluation of their technical properties on nylon 6 Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Zinat Mohammadhokaei, Auteur ; Javad Mokhtari, Auteur ; Mahdi Nouri, Auteur Année de publication : 2010 Article en page(s) : p. 81-85 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : As an attempt to combine the dyeing and functional finishing steps into one process, two novel anti-bacterial monoazo acid dyes based on N-ester-1,8-naphthalimide were synthesised. To do this, 4-amino-N-ethyl glycinate-1,8-naphthalimide was prepared, diazotised and then coupled to thiosalicylic acid or salicylic acid to produce anti-bacterial dyes. The synthesised dyes were purified and then fully characterised using Fourier Transform–infrared spectrometry, proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and melting point analysis. Dispersion of the dyes was prepared in water and applied to nylon 6 fabrics. The novel dyes offered good build-up properties on the substrate. The anti-bacterial efficacy of the synthesised dyes was assessed, with the dyes showing activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Titre : Synthesis, spectral properties and application of novel disazo disperse dyes derived from polyester waste Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : V. S. Palekar, Auteur ; N. D. Pingale, Auteur ; S. R. Shukla, Auteur Année de publication : 2010 Article en page(s) : p. 86-91 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : Terephthalic dihydrazide was obtained through aminolytic depolymerisation of polyester bottle waste by using hydrazine hydrate. It was further reacted with 4-aminobenzoic acid in the presence of polyphosphoric acid to obtain a cyclic compound, 4,4'-[5,5'-(1,4)-phenylene)bis(1,3,4-oxadiazole-5,2-diyl)dianiline, having a heterocyclic moiety. Diazotisation of this compound followed by coupling with various N,N-disubstituted anilines afford a series of novel disazo disperse dyes. The structures of these synthesised dyes were confirmed by elemental analysis and Fourier Transform–infrared, proton nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectroscopy. Ultraviolet–visible spectra of these azo dyes in different polar solvents showed considerable variation in the wavelength of maximum absorbance (lambda max). Application of these dyes on polyester and nylon fabrics using high-temperature dyeing methods gave brilliant yellowish red hues with fair to moderate light fastness and very good to excellent wash fastness and sublimation DOI : 10.1111/j.1478-4408.2010.00231.x Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=9280

Freeman, Auteur Année de publication : 2010 Article en page(s) : p. 92-96 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : 1-Phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolonyl azo-anthraquinone dyes having high light fastness on polylactide fibres were synthesised from 1-aminoanthraquinone via a diazotisation-coupling reaction with 1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolones. The structures of these new dyes were confirmed using mass spectrometry, infrared and proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and combustion analyses. Their dyeing behaviour on polylactide fibres was also determined, whereupon it was found that the title dyes could be applied at a relatively low dyeing temperature and that the corresponding dyed fabrics had good fastness properties. Teng, Auteur Année de publication : 2010 Article en page(s) : p. 97-102 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : The transport of cationic dye from an aqueous feed solution through a flat-type supported liquid membrane containing di-(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid as a carrier was studied. The influence of pH on the source phase, the effect of the concentration of the receiving phase, the stirring speed, the effect of the initial dye concentration, the feed-to-strip ratio and the influence of the support characteristics were studied. A polytetrafluoroethylene membrane with a 1.0-µm pore size was found to have more permeability than that with a pore size of 0.5 µm. The results indicated that the aqueous feed solution at an alkaline pH has high permeability. The initial feed phase dye can be completely extracted and stripped with a stripping solution within 7 h. Titre : Cold pad-batch bleaching of cotton fabrics with a TAED/H2O2 activating system Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Jianzhong Shao, Auteur ; Yi Huang, Auteur ; Zhenhua Wang, Auteur ; Jinqiang Liu, Auteur Année de publication : 2010 Article en page(s) : p. 103-108 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : The cold pad–batch bleaching of cotton fabrics using a tetra acetyl ethylene diamine/hydrogen peroxide (TAED/H2O2) activating system is investigated in this study. The effects of key bleaching parameters (hydrogen peroxide dosage, sodium hydroxide dosage, TAED/H2O2 mol ratio and batch time) on the bleaching efficiency were investigated by single-factor analysis and orthogonal experiment analysis. The performance of the activator TAED in the cold pad–batch process was examined and the activating mechanism is discussed. The optimised bleaching recipe and processing conditions are reported, and the optimal activated bleaching process is also compared with a conventional cold pad–batch bleaching process. The results show that the optimised TAED/H2O2 activated bleaching system could achieve high quality cotton bleaching with comparable fabric whiteness to the conventional system at much shorter batch times, and with significantly reduced fabric strength loss and decreased alkali consumption, which would be beneficial to sustained development of the textile wet-processing industry. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : The anthraquinoid dye, Alizarin Red S, forms an anionic moiety in aqueous solution. The complex formation of this dye was studied with the cationic surfactant, cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, in an aqueous environment at low surfactant concentrations. The complex was studied with the help of ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy. A method of continuous variation was applied to confirm the complex formation and showed that a 1:1 complex was evident from the experimental results. The equilibrium constant for the formation of the complex was determined at various temperatures. Different thermodynamic parameters, free energy of binding, enthalpy of binding and entropy of binding were calculated.
