Stress Cracking -
The individual components of an infusion regime for supplying patients with medicine converge in cone-shaped luer connectors. For the sake of product monitoring, the material used for these conical connectors is usually transparent polycarbonate. When in use, the cone comes in contact with various substances and/or medicines which can lead to stress cracking. The method described in this article is used to investigate stress cracking in conical connectors. |
