Langues : Américain (ame) Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : "just-in-time" leather production and crust leather becoming an important intermediaite in leather production have created more and more interest in a dyeing procedure which can be carried out efficiently and quickly just before leather finishing.
Immersion dyeing is a very interesting possibility mainly for shoe upper leather but also for certain Nappa leathers if they are finished which pigmented finishes afterwards.
It is still easier and better to achieve a variety of colors and fastness properties by the traditional drum-dyeing process.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DQXCvx6dGwusWpcIagsznocY9P39YZdg/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=8658

Nevertheless, many variations, including the touch and handle and many other properties can be influenced by the retanning, dyeing and fatliquoring. Titre : The aniline dyeing of leather Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Hubert M. Wachsmann, Auteur Année de publication : 1982 Article en page(s) : p. 234-245 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Américain (ame) Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : For various reasons the aniline dyeing of leather has increased appreciably in recent years. There is a definite trend toward a more natural look and pleasant handle, not only for upholstery and clothing leather, but also for shoe upper leather. As a result, heavily pigmented finishes are being used less, and more and more importance is being placed on drum dyeing and occasionally spray dyeing. Following this trend, competent dyestuff producers have not only expanded their range of dyestuffs to include those with greater fastness, but they have also developed specific auxiilary agents to improve penetration, leveling, and dye fixation. Furthermore, research has been done to improve the buildup of dyes that influence dyeing behavior. We, too, have worked in these areas, and some of the results we have obtained are presented in this report.
Very early in our studies, we gave special consideration to two properties of dyes which are actually independent of each other : buildup and exhaustion. Of the two, according to our experience, buildup capacity is by far the more important.Note de contenu : - BUILDUP CAPACITY

Titre : The John Arthur Wilson memorial lecture 1993 world-wide standardization of leather test procedures will the U.S. participate ? Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Hubert M. Wachsmann, Auteur Année de publication : 1993 Article en page(s) : p. 47-56 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Américain (ame) Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : With an increasing international trade for leather and leather goods, and also more so as customer protection grows with all its consequences in terms of liability, international standardization of test methods become ever more important. Clear distinction between test methods and assessment techniques on the one hand and drawing up specifications and standards on the other will be very essential today and in the future.
It is responsibility of national societies and, therefore, consequently of the International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies (IULTCS) to concern thermselves exclusively with test methods and assessments, which are the technical side of standardization. The activities of the International Commissions for Chemical, Physical, and Fastness tests are described and the newly established cooperation with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is stressed. One objective of this paper is to activate more scientists and technicians outside Europe to participate in our International Commissions. This is very important for the U.S. tanning industry changing from primarily serving the home market to an international supplier.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tYFFGG8vy2rdxy9NsmPx8frDoOGJsJ8k/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=8235
