Résumé : |
Temperature contouring in thermoforming allows the forming behavior of the sheet to be adjusted locally in order to even out thin spots of the formed part. The process is thus able to decrease the weight of the formed part and consequently reduce material costs, while also maintaining consistent quality-related properties of the part. |
Note de contenu : |
- Temperature contouring in thermoforming
- Temperature contouring of sheets with cover blades
- Testing of the concept
- Temperature contouring and wall thickness distribution
- FIGURES : 1. Locally different deformation of a conventionally produced cup and one manufactured with temperature contouring - 2. Structure of a single-station thermoforming machine extended with cover blades - 3. Comparison of the processes : temperature profile depending on the measuring position and photo of infrared camera - 4. Wall thickness distribution in comparison : The wall thicknesses of the cups were measured non-destructively with a MagnaMike 8600 from Olympus GmbH, Hamburg, Germany |
