This translucent structure is 40 m high, for an external diameter of 1.60 m and an average wall thickness of 11 mm. The material is a polymer made of vinylester resin reinforced with glass fibre (GFRP). The manufacturing process is filament winding. Due to its geographical situation, the structure has to withstand wind speeds above 180 km/h and the elastic modulus of the material should not exceed 25 GPa.
