We measured the absorption spectra of human skin in a study in twenty subjects belonging to skin phototypes I-IV. Absorption coefficients were determined in the range from 290 nm to 341 nm (3 nm steps) on the inner and outer side of the forearm and the ball of the thumb. Comparison of these new data with known action spectra of photobiologic effects and natural solar irradiation spectra indicates that the small wavelength range from ca. 300 nm to 320 nm may be responsible for significant detrimental and beneficial effects. Consequently, the skin is very sensitive to changes in irradiation in this spectral region. Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=10140

To avoid the complexity of composition of chemicals produced in leather fatliquors. OH produced from the oxidation of lipids in leather fatliquors was replaced by OH produced by a fenton reagent.
At room temperature, Fenton reagent was reacted with solutions of CrCl3, CrCl3-benzoic acid, chrome tanning agent and chrome tanning agent-benzoic acid, respectively. The amounts of Cr6+ was explored and the effect of adding an OH scavenger(benzoic acid) on inhibiting the formation of Cr6+ was also studied.
Using ultraviolet spectrometry, the molecular structure of benzoic acid was analysed both before and after oxidation by Fenton reagent or potassium dichromate. The oxidization of Cr3+ to Cr6° by Fenton reagent was initially explored. The results showed that the OH group can oxidize Cr3+ to Cr6+ in both systems of CrCl3 and chrome tanning agent and the OH scavenger can inhibit the production of Cr6+. When the amount of benzoic acid was 3wt.% of the chrome the Cr6+ concentration was decreased by 99.3 % in 90 minutes.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gNTHd8wfl8LJkh665-JpBKuDX3FPiFKq/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=9858

It is highly resistant to a wide range of solvents (including water), has a low coefficient of friction and low cured film refractive index. It has excellent thermal, oxidative and UV stability, resists yellowing and is suitable for high speed application. Markets for this coating include electronics, fibre optic telecommunications and military applications.
