The CUP particle size was correlated with the absolute molecular weight and its distribution. The characteristics of the particles were evaluated with respect to viscosity, acid number, size distribution, and stability. The particle size varied from less than 3 nm to above 8 nm representing polymers with molecular weight in the range of 3000–153,000. Lower molecular weight polymers were found to be unstable. Particle size measurements using dynamic light scattering technique indicated a normal distribution which corresponded to the molecular weight distribution of the copolymer. The statistical distribution of the acid groups in the polymer chains played a significant role in the stability of low molecular weight polymers. The objective-subjective world of colour space may seem equally complex, and the continued development of colour order systems is a testimony to this. Navigation in colour or physical space requires answers to such questions as where are we now, where do we want to go, and how do we get there? Colour derived from pigments has both intrinsic and extrinsic character. As a consequence of the latter, just about every aspect of colour delivery including dispersion, dilution, reduction, drying and shearing can take the hue in a different direction within the chosen colour space. Understanding the practical implications of this is an important aspect of colour delivery with a direct bearing on comparing and optimising products or processes. The scattering data were evaluated by Indirect Fourier Transformation (IFT) or Generalized Indirect Fourier Transformation (GIFT) methods depending on the aqueous phase content. The growth of the microemulsions droplets by increasing the water content and the effect of azithromycin incorporation in the microemulsions were investigated. The Indirect Fourier Transformation gives the real space pair-distance distribution function: a facile way for the quantitative estimation of structure parameters of the microemulsions. It was found that the size of the microemulsion aggregates or repeating distances in the microemulsion increases with the aqueous phase content. The maximum diameter of the drug free and drug loaded microemulsions aggregates depend on their microstructure. The values of the effective interaction radius of the microemulsions are higher for the drug free compared to the drug loaded microemulsions aggregates.
