There are different standards on the determination of it, their principles are all related to colour depth. However, the standard methods have some limitations. For this purpose, this study proposed a new method for the RCS based on the new colour depth formula Yangn, which included three methods named colour strength value (CSV1, CSV2 and CSV3). Part I in this study was to investigate the application effect of Yangn on the RCS of different disperse dyes with approximate hues. According to the experimental results of E-type and SE-type disperse dyes, the new method showed its advantages. Firstly, compared with AATCC EP-6, the results of the new method were more consistent. Secondly, under different dyeing concentrations, the RCS values of the new method were relatively consistent, with average coefficient values (CVs) being less than 5%, especially for CSV3 with only 3.59%; while all the average CVs of AATCC EP-6 were greater than 6%. For the calculation of RCS of different types of dyes with approximate hue, the new method presented more accurate results. This paper refers to exterior discoloration of latex paint films containing specific colorant(s). A simple and quick method was adopted to screen paint formulations that may discolor upon exposure to sunlight and water. The exterior discoloration of latex paint films tinted with raw umber colorant is primarily dependent on the manganese oxide(s) present as impurity in the colorant. The role of titanium dioxide in discoloration of raw umber containing latex paint films is also demonstrated. Using this method, the grades of titanium dioxide could be differentiated that facilitate exterior discoloration. A clear correlation was established between the types of surface treatment on titanium dioxide pigment (alumina, zirconia, or silica) versus colorant-dependent discoloration. The investigation demonstrates that the colorant-dependent discoloration is independent of binders, pigment volume concentrations, and mildewcide used in a formulation.
Tags : 'Dianix SF' Colorant 'Stabilité thermique des couleurs' Hydrophobicité 'Ethylène téréphtalate' 'Acide polylactique' Index. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : This paper addresses the relative effects of softeners having different properties and their method of application (exhaust vs pad) on the colour fastness of poly(lactic acid) fabrics dyed with a range of disperse dyes with different levels of hydrophobicity. A comparison was made with a correspondingly finished polyethylene terephthalate fabric. Possible relationships between the levels of hydrophilicity/hydrophobicity of the dye, and softener, and the colour fastness were explored. Finally, the amount of dye thermally migrated into the finish on the softened poly(lactic acid) and polyethylene terephthalate fabrics was examined in comparison with their colour fastness. Softened poly(lactic acid) fabrics dyed with CI Disperse Red 167.1 exhibited more thermal migration, and hence lower colour fastness, than the corresponding polyethylene terephthalate fabrics. Conversely, softened poly(lactic acid) fabrics dyed with Dianix Deep Red SF exhibited less thermal migration, and hence better colour fastness, than the corresponding polyethylene terephthalate fabrics. Overall, no clear relationship was found between the hydrophobic nature of the disperse dye and the hydrophobic character of the softener on the colour fastness.

Acid Yellow 36, C.I. Basic Brown 4, C.I. Mordant Violet 5, 1:1 chromium III complex of C.I. Mordiant Violet 5 and 1:2 chromium III complex of C.I. Mordant Violet 5).
Kinetic and thermodynamic aspects such as the rate of dyeing, heat of dyeing, adsorption and affinity of these leather dyes on native and modified hide powders have been studied to obtain indirect evidence regarding the nature of dye-fibre bonds.
Heat of dyeing values for most of the dyes studied were found to be less than 10 kcal mol-1 indicating that physical adsorption was mainly responsible for the uptake. The dyed samples of hide powders were subjected to stripping with different solvent systems for additional data to supplement our findings.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/19uzIX8Y47CuaBL8IZ8YhUwpM5orBuDjC/view?usp=share [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=8076
