The natural logarithm of the rate constant of dye transfer from dyed fabric to white cloths and that of the equilibrium constant were linearly related to the reciprocal of the rubbing force, which was given by the product of the weight and the friction coefficient between the dyed fabric and white cloth. Two straight lines were obtained, in spite of the variety of white cloths used, and they converged in the low rubbing force range. The results show that the dry rubbing fastness with various white cloths is primarily influenced by the friction coefficient and rubbing force rather than by the types of textile fibre or fabric. Revêtement par centrifugationTags : 'Lissage de surface lisse' 'Force centrifuge verticale' Photorésist 'Couche condensée' Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : This study focuses on an innovative method for spin coating called the two-dimensional (2D) spin coating method. Using a centrifugal force applied by a rotary machine perpendicular to the wafer surface body, a vertical centrifuge force (VCF) was generated. The VCF allowed controllable artificial gravity acceleration to be generated and caused the coating to face this elevated gravity acceleration to adjust and normalize the high and low surface tension stresses. Previous surface leveling mathematics were analyzed and modified. The modified calculations indicate that the effect of additional gravity exerted on the liquid’s surface can reduce the amplitude of surface leveling. To experimentally investigate this phenomenon, a 2D spin coater was designed and manufactured. Higher artificial gravity overcame some common coating defects, such as cloudiness, edge beading, inner layer bubbling, and unsmooth surface leveling. Photoresist (AZP4620) was used as the coating material. The surface roughness was analyzed by atomic force microscopy (AFM) and the layer properties were also imaged by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The AFM results (average and root-mean-square roughness) indicated a decrease in surface leveling amplitude by increasing the VCF. SEM images showed condensed layers without any porosity or rupture. The experimental results agreed with the simulations and calculated values. However, evaluation of cosmetic application procedures remains technically challenging owing to the subtle motions involved, which cannot be precisely detected by shooting a video. To overcome this difficulty, we developed a wearable sensor system to estimate the finger contact force as well as measure the subtle motion of the fingertip without a covering finger pad. We evaluated the differences in the cosmetic application procedure between general users and professional beauty consultants using the sensor. The results suggested that the intensity of the force applied by general users to the skin covers a much broader range than that of the professionals and that the finger activity of professionals was more rhythmic and of smaller amplitude than that of general users. The cosmetic application procedures of general users alter instruction in the cosmetic application procedure by professional beauty consultants were also evaluated. The results suggested that the amplitude of finger activity can be readily taught, although the contact force was relatively difficult to teach without showing one's own contact force quantitatively. These data show that the sensor system can be used to effectively evaluate the difference between individual cosmetic application procedures. In addition, we used the wearable sensor to teach the face massage technique. The results indicate that the cosmetic application procedure can be sufficiently imparted using the sensor. This sensor system is useful not only for measuring cosmetic application procedures quantitatively, but also for teaching cosmetic treatments such as skin care massage and makeup skills.
