The configuration consists of a liquid column that moves along a vertical 2D channel, open to the atmosphere and driven by a controlled pressure head. Both advancing and receding contact lines were analyzed to test the validity of classic models for dynamic wetting and to study the flow field near the interface. The operating conditions are characterized by a large acceleration, thus dominated by inertia. The shape of the moving meniscus was retrieved using Laser-Induced Fluorescence-based image processing, while the flow field near was analyzed via Time-Resolved Particle Image Velocimetry (TR-PIV). The TR-PIV measurements were enhanced in the post-processing, using a combination of Proper Orthogonal Decomposition and Radial Basis Functions to achieve super-resolution of the velocity field. Large counter-rotating vortices were observed, and their evolution was monitored in terms of the maximum intensity of the Q-field. The results show that classic contact angle models based on interface velocity cannot describe the evolution of the contact angle at a macroscopic scale. Moreover, the impact of the interface dynamics on the flow field is considerable and extends to several capillary lengths below the interface. Stabilisants (chimie)Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Thermally stimulated luminescence (TL) can be used to detect damage in the early stages of degradation after artificial weathering, and to analyze the efficiency of stabilizers used in automotive coatings. TL is particularly suitable for this task due to its inherent high sensitivity to structural, morphological, and chemical changes in macromolecular chains. In this work, TL measurements were carried out for different automotive coatings to follow their degradation progression during artificial weathering. The TL results demonstrate high sensitivity to parameters like stabilizers, matrices, hardeners, and weathering time, and provide an opportunity to monitor the early stages of damage in polymers, which therefore reduce the time required for further outdoor weathering tests. The concentrated extract was partitioned with EtOAc, n-BuOH, and H2O. From the EtOAc fractions, three flavonoid compounds were isolated through the repeated SiO2 and ODS column chromatographies. The isolated compounds were identified new compound on the basis of NMR, MS, and IR spectroscopic data, respectively. In order to investigate antiatopic dermatitis potential of Nymphaea alba, we evaluate the anti-inflammatory effect of Compound 1-3 from the flowers of N. alba. Compound 1-3 dose-dependently showed inhibition effects for the productions of nitric oxide (NO) in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced macrophages (Compound 1: IC50 µM ; Compound 2: IC50 pM ; Compound 3: IC50 µM). And we conducted the mRNA expression related with thymus- and activation-regulated chemokine (TARC/CCL17) and macrophage-derived chemokine (MDC/CCL22) in HaCaT keratinocyte cells by Compound 1. Compound 1 inhibited the expression of nnRNA on HaCaT cells which treated with TARC/CCL17 and MDC/CCL22.

Traîtements de surfaceIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : The epoxy resin coating has been widely used; however, its anticorrosion performance still needs to be improved. Basalt materials have been used as fillers in the field of anticorrosive coatings due to their good corrosion resistance and acid and alkali resistance. In this paper, 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane (APTMS) was used as a coupling agent to modify the surface of basalt powder. The modified basalt powder (MBP) was characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Fourier transform infrared-attenuated total reflectance (FTIR-ATR). The MBP was added to epoxy resin in different proportions as fillers, and the coatings with different MBP contents were prepared by applying the mixture on the metal substrates. The hardness of coatings can be enhanced up to 0.25 GPa with the increase in MBP, and the elastic of coatings increases to the highest of 4.97 GPa for MBP-10/EP. Their water absorption rates after soaking in water for 21 h decreased to 0.75%. Meanwhile, the anticorrosion performance of the coatings on substrates during exposure to 3.5 wt% NaCl solution was investigated by using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and the circuit-fitting of EIS tests was also performed. The corrosion resistance of EP coating has been obviously improved by adding MBP, with the low-frequency impedance value (|Z|0.01Hz) of MBP-10/EP up to 2.43 × 108 Ω·cm2 after being immersed in 3.5 wt% NaCl solution for 15 d, which was 7.8 times higher than that of neat epoxy coating (MBP-0/EP).
