Vibrations (mécanique)Index. décimale : 363.11 Risques professionnels et industriels Résumé : Dans une démarche de prévention des risques professionnels, il peut être utile de connaître avec plus ou moins de précision ou de certitude, des valeurs qui permettent de caractériser un risque, pour hiérarchiser ou dimensionner les actions à mener en vue de le réduire.
Ce dossier propose plusieurs illustrations de l'apport de la métrologie. En effet, même s'il est convenu que "mesurer n'est pas prévenir", les développement de ces dernières années, tant du point de vue des méthodologies que des technologies permettent, dans de nombreux domaines, de mettre en oeuvre des mesures utiles en prévention. Concernant la prévention du risque chimique, la mesure de la concentration de substances est le seul moyen d'objectiver l'exposition et d'identifier les dangers potentiels. En physiologie du travail, la mesure vise principalement à évaluer la charge physique de travail, globalement (corps entier) ou localement (par segment corporel). Pour la prévention du risque vibratoire, l'utilisation de dosimètres est ici traitée à travers la biométrologie, en tant qu'activité de surveillance utilisant des "biomarqueurs", cherche à objectiver l'imprégnation de salariés exposés à des substances chimiques. Enfin, quelques exemples concrets de méthodes non "classiques" de mesure ou d'estimation des risques liés à la présence de polluants dans l'air des lieux de travail et de leur apport en prévention, sont présentés.Note de contenu : - 1.
