PolysulfonesIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Spent dyeing-fatliquoring baths contain a large quantity of pollutants including polymers, dyestuffs, emulsified oils and additives. In order to reduce the pollution, the spent dyeing-fatliquoring bath was concentrated and re-used in the dyeing-fatliquoring process. The solutes in the bath were evaluated in terms of COD, total nitrogen, total solid, ash and dyestuff. The effects of the volume reduction factor on permeate flux and solute retentions were investigated during the concentration. The characteristics of concentrate and permeate, as well as membrane regeneration were measured during the re-use. The results show that a steady permeate flux of 41.9L/rn2h with retentions of above 91% of COD and above 95% of dyestuffs can be obtained at 25°C under a trans-membrane pressure of 0.09MPa when the volume reduction factor reached 2.0. At this volume reduction factor, ail the concentrate can be recycled in the dyeing-fatliquoring process, and ail of the permeate can be re-used in neutralizing process. No accumulation of solutes was found during the re-use of the concentrate stream. The concentration and re-use process has the good potential for industrial application.
- La corrélation des solidité des cuirs à la lumière solaire et aux lumières artificielles ;
- L'influence de la constitution des colorants mis en oeuvre ;
- L'influence de la nature du support cuir ;

Systèmes de dosageIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Over the fast 25 years the demand for consistent leather dyeing has been growing. Consistency in shade from batch to batch, within a batch and across a single hide has become a must for quality assurance and a necessity for quality finishing. The demands of fashion have also Brown so that tanneries have to cover many more colours at one rime in their production.
In the early 1980s, some chemical companies introduced special liquid dyes for drum dyeing. These ranges offered certain advantages to tanners and have increased in use. The dyes are usually from a selected chemical clans, have similar and compatible dyeing properties, and some, enable a vide range of colours to be produced from a small product range.
This means economic benefits to the leather manufacturer, who is able to reduce the inventory of dyes, whilst covering most of the needs of his customer.
Other advantages offered by liquid dyes included the convenience of handling, transport in containers, and less exposure by the workforce to air borne dye particles. The residual content of dye in 'empty' containers was also avoided with all of these points making high contributions towards die Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).Note de contenu : - Automatic dispensing of dye solutions

(analyses chimiques) et I.U.P. Note de contenu : - NORME I.U.F. 151 : PREPARATION D'UN CUIR AU CHROME PLEINE FLEUR STANDARD ET STOCKABLE, POUR LES ESSAIS DE TEINTURE : 1. vision des couleursIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Color is one of the important parameter considered in the determination of quality for fashion materials like leather. The color variation in each piece of leather sample in a batch should be within the acceptable range. Visual assessment is currently used in leather industry for quality control and color sorting. The current method used is subjective and often leads to disagreement between buyer and seller. Color measurement using reflectance spectrophotometer evaluates color consistently and is an objective assessment system. However, there is always an apprehension that the instrumental color assortment may not agree with the human perception of color difference. Hence, in the present investigation, an attempt was made to screen four color difference formulae, viz., CIELAB76, CMC (2:1), CIE94 and CIE2000 for their suitability in obtaining pass/fail decisions, which would be in conformity with that of the average human observer. Regression analysis was performed to find a correlation between visual and instrumental color assessments and the results indicate that CM (2:1) formula may be the most suited for the purpose. A detailed analysis of visual and instrumental color values revealed visual non uniformity towards sensitivity to hue, chroma and lightness. This difference in sensitivity was also taken into consideration in instrumental color sorting and pass/fail tolerance was established that led to closer conformity between visual and instrumental methods.
