Polyéthylène glycolIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : In this investigation, nanostructured films comprising polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/polyethylene glycol (PEG) blended with indium oxide (In2O3) nanoparticles were fabricated using a casting technique. The study focused on examining the impact of varying the ratios of PVA/PEG blend and In2O3 nanoparticle content on the optical properties of these nanostructures. Optical assessments were conducted across a spectrum ranging from 220 nm to 820 nm. It was observed that an increase in In2O3 nanoparticle concentration resulted in elevated absorbance levels in the PVA/PEG matrix, particularly within the ultraviolet spectrum, while simultaneously causing a decrease in transmittance. This effect was attributed to the interaction between the polymer matrix and the In2O3 nanoparticles, leading to altered electronic and photonic interactions within the material. A notable reduction in the energy band gap was also recorded with increasing In2O3 content, suggesting enhanced electron mobility and photon interaction within the nanostructures. These findings underscore the potential of In2O3-doped PVA/PEG films in optoelectronic applications, particularly in fields requiring controlled optical properties such as photonics and advanced optical systems. The improved optical parameters, specifically in terms of absorbance and band gap manipulation, highlight the versatility of these nanostructures in various optoelectronic applications. These include, for example, safety ropes used by fire brigades or suspension ropes for heavy loads on construction sites. Empa researchers have now developed a coating that changes color when exposed to high temperatures through friction or fire. Note de contenu : Wafer-thin layers with great effect

Spectroscopie ultravioletteIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : In this paper we demonstrate physical method (Gamma irradiation technique) for synthesizing Ag-NPs when there is no reduction agent or heat treatment as useful in antimicrobial applications and medical devices. As a strong support, stabilizer, and silver precursor, Chitosan (CS) and AgNO3 were utilized. Ag/Cs characteristics were investigated as a function of gamma dose and -irradiation periods in recent published paper. For conducting the research in Ag-CS-Isopropanol (IPA) by gamma Irradiation method, here we used UV-vis spectroscopy for examining energy gap and Plasmon resonance of surface (SPR) of the produced silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs). Manufactured Ag-NP UV-vis spectroscopy revealed as the gamma dose increased, the highest wavelength intensity of the plasmon peaks rose. and with energy gap in rang (2.1-2.4) eV. The effect of Ag/CS-APA solutions has examined due on human blood properties and antibacterial activity to water samples selected from local riverbank in Iraq. Overall, the optical characteristic of Ag-CS-APA nanocomposite solution make them promising material for optical thin films and as antibacterial agent in health sector. Vapeur d'eauIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : In this study, collagen extraction from yakskin was conducted through an acid-pepsin hydrolysis process. The molecular weight (MW) of yakskin collagen was 51825 Da. An amino acid analysis showed that yakskin collagen is rich in nutrients and contains essential amino acids. The effects of SPI on the mechanical properties (tensile strength (TS) and elongation at break (EAB)), light transmittance, water vapour permeability (WVP) levels, FTIR, X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns, thermal properties, water contact angles and yakskin collagen-based films' cross section morphologies were studied. The results showed that excellent ultraviolet barring functions were achieved from edible films with the incorporation of SPI. The edible films produced by SPI present better properties than films composed of only yakskin collagen. Yakskin collagen/SPI composite film could be more widely used in edible food packaging film. As plasticiser, sorbitol can effectively replace glycerol. It opens up a new direction for the effective utilisation of yakskin resources in Qinghai province.
The paper provides information specific to yakskin in contrast to other sources of collagen.Note de contenu : - INTRODUCTION : Skin structure

Vapeur d'eauIndex. décimale : 610.72 Recherche médicale : classer la médecine expérimentale à 619 Résumé : A novel collagen-soy protein isolate (SPI) film formed via self-assembly was developed. This research investigated the structure and application properties of the collagen-SPI self-assembled film and the blend film. FTIR and XRD evaluation of structural properties indicated that the self-assembly method could effectively enhance the compatibility between collagen and SPI. The collagen-SPI self-assembled film presented a compact, smooth and continuous microstructure. The tensile strength (Ts) and elongation at break (EAB) values of the collagen-SPI self-assembled films (Ts : 13.991 ±0.53 MPa, EAB : 84.57 ± 6.21%) were nearly twice those of the blend films. The water vapour permeability (WVP) values of the collagen-SPI self-assembled film were more than 2000 g•m-2.24h. The maximum decomposition peak of collagen-SPI self-assembled films was located at 313.2°C. The collagen-SPI self-assembled films could achieve swelling equilibrium quickly within 2 hours, and the structural integrity of the film was maintained for 24 hours. The collagen-SPI self-assembled film had excellent ultraviolet shielding and visible light transmission qualities. The collagen-SPI self-assembled film had better mechanical properties, optical properties, thermal stability and water resistance properties as opposed to blend film. As a clean and feasible method, the self-assembly method could improve the functional properties of the collagen-SPI film. The collagen-SPI self-assembled films could be used as novel wound dressings in the future./ Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL SECTIONS : Materials - Preparation of the collagen-SPI self-assembled film - Preparation of the collagen-SPI blend fim - Characterisation of the collagen-SPI films
