ViscositéIndex. décimale : 668.3 Adhésifs et produits semblables Résumé : A new generation of SikaPower structural adhesives is based on a modular system that makes it possible to combine a wide range of material properties. The basis is a special low-viscosity epoxy resin matrix. The innovative feature of this system is its combination of low viscosity and outstanding wash-out resistance. These adhesives also cover a very large bonding range. To be specific, they exhibit excellent properties on the zinc-magnesium coated steel substrates we have been hearing so much about lately.
Verre -- CollageIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : A robust micro/nano-structured superhydrophobic surface was facilely prepared by applying composite coating consisting of epoxy resin and silica nanoparticles on glass substrates. The whole process only needed bisphenol A-based epoxy resin and silica nanoparticles to be mixed, coated, and dried. Field emission scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and a drop meter were utilized to evaluate its morphology, accurate topography, quantitative roughness, and wettability, respectively. After considering adhesive force and the superhydrophobicity of the coating, it was shown that the best result was gained when the solid content of the silica nanoparticles was 45.5 wt%. In addition, the coating showed excellent surface mechanical stability and acid-alkali resistance which offers great potential for durable application in various fields. ThermodurcissablesIndex. décimale : 668.3 Adhésifs et produits semblables Résumé : There seems little doubt that these twelve subtopics in structural adhesives science and technology covered in this two-part paper will remain with us. Perhaps two decades further out will find them as equally important as they are today. A few of the future needs :
- nano-region particles for toughening thermoset resins, achieved in the development of the multiphase adhesives mass morphology, ostensibly allowing greater transfer of toughness from neat to highly filled systems ;
- peeling strengh improvement in high-temperature adhesives (presently inadequate at both operating temperatures and high load rates) ;
- more than marginal improvements in strength and toughness, particularly under tensile and shear loads ;
- a major leap forward in service life of bonded assemblies for severe environments and in modeling/gauging their predictions ;
- more raw materials designed for the structural adhesives formulator ; and
- major advances in the "command" cure concept.Note de contenu : - Understanding cure
