Index. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Traditionally, the hair care has always focused on the visible part of hair : the hair shaft. But nowadays, we know that stress, pollution, nutrition, UV radiation, etc., they all affect the whole hair structure, including the scalp and the follicle. Ail these factors generate oxidative stress on both scalp and hair, finally causing scalp redness and flaking as well as hair breakage and fragility. The new active ELAYA RENOVATM nourishes and reinforces all the elements of the hair structure, improving its volume, hydration and shine from within. Made from Olea europaea stem cells, the active ingredient's mechanism of action consists in delivering a nourishing proteo-lipidic matrix to both the scalp and the hair cortex to strengthen, volumize, hydrate and revitalize the damaged hair and scalp. Several in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo trials demonstrate the ingredient's activity and the new concept of restoring the Hair Tensegrity. A new way to deal with hair care, considering a 'skinification' approach.

Quorum quenchingIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : The acne derived from mask wearing (maskne) is a global trend that was brought up along the pandemic amongst population. What is the origin? Microbes communicate with each other to coordinate group behaviors, through a specific communication system called Quorum Sensing. This systemis responsible for the human microbiome health. Quora Noni hacks these bacteria communication signals, avoiding the harmful attack of microbes on the skin, that causes acne and other skin conditions. This Noni stem cell ingredient is a metabolome rich in anti-Quorum Sensing molecules, specially designed to act against bacterial dysbiosis, blocking the microbial communication signals in a natural way, stopping the development of virulence and perfecting, at the same time, the skin appearance. The active does not contain antibiotics, thus avoiding the potential development of microbial resistance, and it is also bacteriostatic, maintaining a healthy microbial balance. Several in vitro and in vivo studies were carried out to demonstrate these claims and the high efficacy of the active against acne. The hair structure is a unit where hair scalp, follicle and shaft must be considered as a whole. The scalp is the hidden essential in hair biology and is responsible for the nourishing, biology and mechanical behaviours of the pilosebaceous unit. Therefore, all the parts of hair are interconnected and the whole hair system can be revitalized based on the new concept of hair ‘tensegrity’.
The term ‘tensegrity’ comes from architecture and is coined from the contraction ‘tensional’ and ‘integrity’ - components of any structure under compression while they are inside a network in continuous tension. The components of any structure are continuously exposed to external forces.
All the structural elements are interconnected, so any change applied to one of them will affect the rest. Each structure must have an equilibrium between a good resistance and sufficient flexibility.
A healthy hair must have a good tensegrity : being strong enough but also flexible enough to be manageable ; plus soft and easy to comb while maintaining its natural movement. To optimize hair tensegrity, or TrichoTensegrity, the scalp must be considered as an essential part of the pilosebaceous unit. Thus, we can approach hair care keeping in mind the full structure : scalp, follicle and shaft.Note de contenu : - ELEMENTS OF HAIR TENSEGRITY

Peau -- Soins et hygièneIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : With age, the skin microbiome changes and evolves from producing a postbiotic of youth markers (Youth Biome Markers, YBMs) to secreting a postbiotic of ageing markers (Senile Biome Markers, SBMs). These SBMs are activated by Quorum Sensing, a microbial communication system which allows them to coordinate their behaviour, turning them more virulent and producing degradative enzymes. These enzymes are harmful for the skin and lead to the appearance of signs of ageing: inflammation, redness, pores, loss of firmness and appearance of wrinkles.
The active Quora Noniâ„¢ biomics, obtained from Morinda citrifolia (noni) stem cells, inhibits the Quorum Sensing. By doing so, it rejuvenates the skin microbiota, reducing the SBMs and therefore, the wrinkles. At the same time, it increases the skin firmness and improves the imperfections (redness and pores) on mature skin profiles.Note de contenu : - INTRODUCTION : Hallmarks of ageing and the role of skin microbiota - Does the skin microbiota also age? - Quorum sensing, SBMs and skin ageing
