Tannage -- DéchetsIndex. décimale : 675.2 Préparation du cuir naturel. Tannage Résumé : The effect of an Electro-Fenton system on the deep treatment of ammonia nitrogen (NH3-N) and corresponding removal rate was investigated in this article. By using simulated ammonia nitrogen wastewater, it included a Cl- concentration of 3000 mg/L, SO42- concentration of 100 mg/L according to conventional leather wastewater conditions. Furthermore, Cl- and SO42- can be used as supporting electrolyte. After pretreatment, the ammonia nitrogen concentration kept about 100 mg/L. The optimal treatment conditions of Electro-Fenton system were obtained throughout single factors experiments. The current density was 150 A/m2, the reaction time was 30 min, the plate spacing distance was 40 mm, and the reaction temperature was adjusted to 40°C. After flocculation treatment of leather wastewater, the ammonia nitrogen concentration was 142.11 mg/L, and the tanning wastewater was further treated with an Electro-Fenton system. The final ammonia nitrogen concentration was 11.23 mg/L, which meets the first-level wastewater discharge standard. The removal rate was 92.10%, which indicated that the Electro-Fenton system is one kind of clean, feasible and sustainable treatment method for the deep treatment of ammonia nitrogen in tannery wastewater. As the ion exchange reaction proceeded, the zinc-polyurethane copolymers became soluble and leached out by the flow of sea water. The self-polishing rates of marine antifouling coatings formulated with the polymers proved to be easily controlled by the amount of 2,2-bis(hydroxymethyl) propionic acid. Marine field test revealed that zinc-polyurethane antifouling coatings had excellent efficiency in preventing marine biofouling for more than 12 months. These results proved that the zinc-polyurethane copolymers were a good candidate for the preparation of long-efficiency and controllable marine antifouling coatings. Degradable polyurethane (PU) films were prepared with poly (ether ester) polyols and hexamethylene diisocyanate trimer. Hydrolytic degradation experiments demonstrated that PU films could be degradable in artificial seawater. Importantly, the hydrolytic degradation of PU films in artificial seawater increased with the increase of LA content. The results also showed that the surfaces of PU films were renewed and kept active, as revealed by the scanning electron microscope micrographs of degradation PU coatings. Moreover, the copper ion release rates of PU coatings prepared with poly(ether ester) polyols reached steady state at about 35 days. The degradable polyurethanes based on poly(ether ester) polyols (PPG-2000, ε-caprolactone, and LA) could be effective and durable resins for marine antifouling.
Tannage Résumé : The aim of this study was to develop a new dialdehyde cellulose tanning agent and discuss its tanning performance. Firstly, cellulose was dissolved with sodium hydroxide and urea. Secondly, dialdehyde cellulose was prepared by an electrochemical oxidation system. The obtained dialdehyde cellulose contained 68.48% aldehyde groups. The reaction between dialdehyde cellulose and gelatin has been verified by the determination by Fourier transformed infrared testing.
When pickled goatskin was tanned with dialdehyde cellulose, the optimal conditions were, dosage of dialdehyde cellulose 25%, initial pH4.5, tanning temperature 35°C. The tanned goat garment crust leather had a shrinkage temperature 82.2°C, tensile strength 28.23MPa, elongation at break 48.35%, all of which meet the standard for goat garment leather. After ageing for 20 days, all characteristics remained stable indicating that dialdehyde cellulose is a feasible and eco-friendly tanning agent.Note de contenu : - MATERIALS AND METHODS : The cellulose pretreatment - The preparation of dialdehyde cellulose by electrochemical oxidation - The reaction characterisation of DAC and gelatin - Influence of ageint time on tanning characteristics
