Precise gloss control of powder coatings is a major issue, especially since TGIC-free formulations have mad this task more difficult. However, detailed structure-property analyses of blends of polyester-β-hydroxyalkylamide systems based on different, incompatible resins reveal, that the difference in acid value between the two resins in the blends can serve as a very reliable gloss determinating property. |
