Résumé : |
Operations executives are confronted with the challenge of increasing manufacturing productivity, satisfying ever increasing customer expectations, and controlling internal costs – typically in an environment that does not allow capital investment as a means for achieving incremental performance improvement. There are however a number of fundamental actions, mostly in the planning and management areas, that can be taken to achieve significant improvements in performance at relatively low cost. The following discussion provides a “first level checklist” of actions that can be taken to achieve significant productivity, quality, and service improvements. |
