Résumé : |
Film formation - Self stratifing coatings make use of homogeneous or heterogeneous binders based on incompatible polymer blends. In some film forming systemss, polymer heterogeneity and stratification results from development of curing reactions. The lower free surface energy components (monomers, oligomers and polymers) tend to absorb or concentrate near the top surface of coating films (in homogeneous binders) and thereby modify the surface or form top layers (in heterogeneous binder) due to spontaneous stratification. Coating properties associated with the top surface, such as scrash- and abrasion resistance, surface slip, gloss and cleanability can be thereby improved. Stratification of lower viscous phases can adress rusty and porous substrates. |
