Our aim in producing the second edition of this vocabulary has been to provide a compact glossary of the principal technical words and phrases used in the textile industry in five world languages (English, French, Spanish, German and Russian).
The words and phrases are grouped under main headings and laid out across each double page in the five languages concerned. Each word or phrase is also listed alphabetically in a separate index for each language at the end of the vocabulary. Opposite the word or hrase in the index are given both the page number and the number of the line on that page where the word or phrase appears.
Although every care has been taken, the compilers of this vocabulary realise that in a volume of this scope and size there may be errors, particularly in the words used for new developments in technology, and would be grateful for any suggestions or modifications which can be incorporated in future editions. |
