Résumé : |
At the extremes of conventionnal tannery conditions, in terms of applied heat and basification procedure, resulting chrome leathers can exhibit anomalies in hydrothermal stability: leathers which high shrinkage temperatures, well above 100°C, shrink when held in boiling water for 5 minutes and the effect depends on whether the leather is tested dry or is prewetted.Anomalies appear if the leathers are aged at ambient temperature and most, but not all, are not present if the leathers had been aged at 60°C. |
