Résumé :	The following characteristics were analysed in this paper: 1) Footwear production by the manufacture of parts and components and their assembly into shoes as the final product, 2)Mechanical features of the operations, 3)Rhythm and continuity in production. The production ability in both serial and parallel flows was also tested and established.Furthermore, using as an example the production of shoe uppers,the character and type of production was determined.
