Résumé : |
The chemical elements which have not the properties of the metallic state are usually called "no-metals", a quite negative term. We propose to name these "amphielements" taking into account their essential role in both organic and inorganic chemistry. Moreover,we propose to arrange the amphielements in two families, the "antimetals", and the metalloids" for situating these with respect to the metals, a majority in the periodic table. |
