Tannage Résumé : In order to control the pollution by anionic surfactants in water, and detect anionic surfactants on-line, a simple, accurate and sensitive flow injection spectrophotometric method for simultaneous determination of anionic surfactant in water is proposed in this paper. The method is based on the ion associate formed between sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate and ethyl violet. Lthe absorbance of the complex is measured using an optical detector at 587nm. Chemical factors and FIA variables affecting the system are also discussed. Under the optimal conditions, the linear range of this method was 10.00-3000.00µ 1-1 ; the detection limit was 0.25µg 1-1 ; the relative standard deviation was 0.814%. This method is suitable for automatic and continuous analysis, and successfully applied to simultaneously determine the content of anionic surfactant in tannery effluent. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : A flow injection analysis coupled with catalytic spectrophotometry is proposed for simple and rapid determination of trace hyamine cationic surfactants (CSs) in tannery effluent and environmental water. The scheme is based on the markedly catalytic reaction of cationic surfactants, i.e., cetyltrimetylammonium bromide (CTMAB) and cetylpyridinium bromide (CPB) which, on oxidation using KIO4 inhighly acidic hydrochloric acid medium discolour Arsenazo (III). Under the optimum conditions, the linear ranges for CTMAB and CPB are 0.1-20mg 1-1, and all relative coefficients of the two Css in different subsections of the linear ranges exceeds 09986 (n=11). The detection limits (3delta) of both the CSs are 0.08mg 1-1, and the recoveries range from 95.7 % to 103.1 %.
The relative standard deviation (R. S. D.) is 1.21 % for 2mg 1-1 CTMAB standard solution (n = 21). The developed method, which is suitable for automatic and continuous analysis, can monitor 15 samples per hour. It has been applied successfully to tannery effluent and environmental water samples.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bSNhFCYzjdUi2t9M9eL2YXWic3mnL6IC/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=5941

Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : The chloride ion (Cl-) is very important to both human and animal health, and directly impacts on the natural environment. This paper proposes a simple, accurate, sensitive and selective flow injection catalytic kinetic spectrophotometric method for the rapid determination of chloride ion in tannery effluent. in acidic media and with heat, the reaction of indigo carmine and potassium bromate is catalysed by the chloride ion. The absorbance of this reaction solution was recorded at 610nm. Chemical factors and FIA variables affecting the system were also discussed. The linear concentration range of the calibration curve was from 0.2-420mg L-1 of standard solutions. The relative standard deviation was 0.88 % for 28.0mg l-1 chloride ion( n=9), and the detection limit was à .009mg l-1 calculated from three times the average background noise. This method, which is suitable for automatic continuous analysis, has been successfully applied to the determination of chloride ion in tannery effluent. The extraction of chromium(VI in leather and the decolouration of leather extract were investigated.Under the optimal conditions, the linear range of this method was 1-50%g/l ; the detection limit was 0.62%g/l ; the relative standard deviation (n=10) for 10µg/l chromium(VI) was 1,74 %. For leather samples, the corresponding linear range of this method was 0,5-25mg/kg. This method is suitable for automatic and continuous analysis and gives satisfactory results when applied to the determination of chromium(VI) extracted from finished leather by artificial perspiration. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 675.2 Préparation du cuir naturel. Tannage Résumé : A rapid and sensitive method is described for flow injection spectrophotometric determination of trace Cr(VI) and total chromium in tannery effluent. The method is based upon the classical reaction of Cr(VI) with diphenylcarbazide (DPC) to form a water-soluble complex (lambda max=540nm). Cr(III) reacts with DPC only after its on-line oxidation to Cr(VI) by Ce(SO4). Under the optimized conditions, the calibration curves were linear over the range 5-100µg 1-1 and 2à -200 µg 1-1 for Cr(VI) and total chromium, respectively, while the precision close to the quantification limit was satisfactory in both cases (Sr=0.49 % for Cr(VI) and 0.94 % for total chromium (n=10) at the same level, 50µg 1-1, respectively). the application of the method to the analysis of tannery effluent gave accurate results based on recovery studies (98.7-103.3 %). Analytical results of total chromium tannery effluent were in good agreement with that of reference method.
