Résumé : |
When the world is witnessing the best of awareness amongst en users, towards protecting their assets and successfully combating the wrath of nature of various unwanted corrosion and destructive forces trhough various coating materials, the birth of polyurea family of resins is rather timely and is expected to rule the future of the coating industry by far. It is not an exaggeration in saying that the polyurea coatings are relatively new when compared to the conventional coatings in the protective aspects like epoxies, acrylics and polyurethanes. Their emergence into this world is no more than 20 to 25 years and is all but said that lesser known outside the continent of the USA and in a lesser scale at some of the European locations. The earliest reference to polymeric spray elastomeric coatings is traceable to about 2 decades at Texaco Chemical Company in Austin. This company is popularly known today as Huntsman Corporation. |
