Pickled liquor, obtained from iron and steel industries after pickling, is loaded with iron. This important metal is converted to another important material called iron oxide (yellow, red or black). This conversion, if not carried out, can create environmental hazards. There are various methods of conversion. The commercial locally available pickled liquoir is converted into yellow and red oxide of iron with satisfactory pigmentary properties. |
