With the advent of synthetic adhesives, those products from collagen became less popular. Because of the "green revolution" over environmental concerns, animal glues are again becoming appealing. Characterization of adhesives has, at best, been subjective. The Jellygram and/or the bloom values are presently being adopted by adhesive companies, that utilizes a commercially available computerized texture analyzer. The advantages of this method are that it not only measures the tackiness but also the work of adhesion, and it requires onlya small amount of sample. Subtle differences in the products that cannot be measured by the prevailing technology can be determined by this technology. Furthermore, analysis of the standard eviation and coefficient of variation shows that the method has good precision when relatively simple guidelines are followed. Titre : The effect of two anti-fungal compounds on the growth of molds that frequently appear on tanned leather Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Binnur Meriçli Yapici, Auteur ; Ismail Karaboz, Auteur Année de publication : 1997 Article en page(s) : p. 38-45 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Américain (ame) Index. décimale : 675.2 Préparation du cuir naturel. Tannage Résumé : In this study, two fungicides with different chemical compositions and raw skins from domestic sheep have been used.
These raw skins were both pickled (preserved pickled pelts) and chrome-tanned with and without fungicides. Each fungicide was used in the ratios of 0.005 %, 0.015 % and 0.030 %, based on the pelt weight.
Two fungicides (one mix phenolic-based and pentachlorophenol-free, the other TCMTB-based) were used to prevent thegroh of mold such as aspergillus niger, aspergillus flavus, penicillium rubrun and alternaria spp. which are troublesome in pickled leathers and chrome-tanned leathers in the leather industry of our country. Minimum inhibitory concentrations of these fungicides were found.Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=7685
