Revêtements poudreIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : In UV curable powder coatings the UV absorbance of pigments (and additives) directly affects the film formation. In this study, the influence of TiO2 pigmentation level and layer thickness on the coatings properties were monitored by ATR-FTIR spectroscopy, UV light transmission, glass transition temperature measurements, coating hardness and abrasion, as well as differential photocalorimetry. increasing the pigment level or coating layer thickness leads to a decrease in through cure. Maximum coating thicknesses for complete through cure are given for various formulations. Note de contenu : - Semi-crystalline binders show better flow at low temperatures
- Temperature limits must be observed
- Application and curing parameters on MDF
- Detailed study of pigment concentration effects
- ATR-FTIR measurements
- Curing results can depend on lamp type
- Limited UV transmission does not imply bad through cure
- Incomplete cured coatings show lower Tg
- Hardness and through cure closely related
- Pigment level determines the abrasion resistance
- Several effects lower reaction enthalpy with higher pigmentationEn ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uPSI4Y6YaGv1thmPDGRuTKI0qQm3_u6J/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=10772 [article]Réservation

Titre : Save sampling processes during the manufacture of synthetic resins Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Elmar Händel, Auteur Année de publication : 2002 Article en page(s) : p. 30-31 Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : During the manufacture of synthetic resins the analytical parameters of the product have to be established in regular intervals, particularly towards the endpoint of the reaction. For this purpose samples are drawn from the reactor through more or less sophisticated devices and analyzed in the laboratory for their chemical and physical properties. The sampling process is often rendered difficult because the product temperature may be as high as 270°C/520°F, the reactor Is operated under vacuum or overpressure and the product may be corrosive or toxic. In the following the newly developed sample valve EPV 25 and Its advantages are described. Titre : UV-active waxes for wood coating systems Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Ernst Krendlinger, Auteur ; Heinz Ehrhardt, Auteur ; Franz-Leo Heinrichs, Auteur ; Holger Endres, Auteur Année de publication : 2002 Article en page(s) : p. 32-38 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Waxes are common, frequently-used additives in many coating systems. Their use leads to a number of significant improvements with regard to matting, scratch resistance, blocking and much more. Up to now, all known waxes behaved chemically inertly in UV-coatings. It has now become possible to develop a wax which attaches itself to the coating film due to a UV-active double bond. The UV-active waxes based on montan wax display an extraordinary good effect with light-curable coating systems. Note de contenu : - Waxes and their properties
- Waxes influence many properties of coatings
- UV-active waxes for UV-coatings
- UV-light activates reactive wax
- UV-active wax has been proven
- UV-active wax resists against solvents
- No visible scratch marks with fingernail test
