Mycotoxicoses
MycotoxinesIndex. décimale : 589.2 Champignons Résumé : The interest of microbiologists in fungal contaminants of food is still increasing and there is a need to study these micro-organisms in more detail. Although fungi, producing toxins or which cause health hazards, are ubiquitous and belong to the common contamination flora, their recognition is hampered by incomplete and often confusing literature. This book originally was intended as a guide to the CBS course on food-borne fungi and contains mainly keys and morphological descriptions of the most common species. However in the last decademuch interest has grown for the fungi present in indoor environments. Since this mycoflora (or mycobiota) is very similar to that of food, the course combines now both food and airborne fungi. In this edition we have updated the introductory text of aspergillus and penicillium, the descriptions of alternaria and stachybotrys. Furthermore 40 colour pictures of colonies aspergillus, eurotium and penicillium are includes on the back sides of the cover This can help to recognize the colony colours when identifying the isolates.
