Résumé : |
Industrial talc from New York is often preferred over other talc products as a functional filler in coatings. This is due to several distinct performance advantages. Little appreciated is the fact that "talc" is not an accurate description of this material since it actually contains a substantial proportion of other silicates. This natural blend provides a variety of particle sizes and shapes that account for its advantages in comparison to platy talcs and other mineral fillers. Comparative data of several coatings is presented and explained in terms of the product's unique mineralogy, morphology, and chemistry. |
